Christmas is in the rearview mirror, but the Epic Games Store is still happening. Today’s free game is Hot Wheels Unleashed, the 2021 racing game taking place in the Hot Wheels universe.

Players can race iconic Hot Wheels cards and build their own tracks; that was half the fun of playing with Hot Wheels, right?

Hot Wheels Unleashed features a “Fair” rating on OpenCritic with reviews across the board, with the highlights playing on the nostalgia of playing with Hot Wheels when we were kids. It may not be the most complete racing game on the market, but it’s still super enjoyable.

The game usually costs $39.99, but for the next 24 hours, it’s free on the Epic Games Store as part of the holiday season.

Xbox fans who may not have access to a gaming PC can check out the sequel on Xbox Game Pass.

What to Expect Next from the Epic Games Store
