Palworld throws players into a wide-open world where they can fight and capture Pals, build their bases, and survive within a vast but harsh environment. There’s a lot to uncover in this wacky survival/adventure game, and it can be a little overwhelming for players who are just jumping in. However, diving into the basic systems is a great place to start, along with managing your Weight capacity.
Palworld: How To Beat Marcus & Faleris
Marcus and Faleris are one of the toughest bosses in Palworld. Here’s how to take them down.
Weight is an important stat in Palworld, and is an essential management system for keeping your inventory in check. Weight governs the available items you can carry within your character’s inventory, and progressing over your max weight limit will begin to negatively impact your movement. Every item in Palworld adds weight to your inventory, so you will need to increase your Weight capacity if you want to carry a lot of items.

Increasing Weight In Palworld
Upgrading Weight Stat
The first and most straightforward way to increase your Weight capacity is through upgrading your Weight Stat. To do this, simply head on over to your Inventory Tab and navigate over to Enhance Stats. Next, put some of your available points (acquired through leveling up) into Weight to enhance it. The higher your Weight, the more weight you can carry in your inventory.
Having trouble managing the items in your inventory? Try crafting some Wooden Chests to store excess items in!

Cattiva’s Partner Skill (Pal Skill Effect)
The second way to improve your Weight is to make use of Cattiva’s Partner Skill. Cattiva is one of the earlier Pals you will encounter in the vast world of Palworld, and has the unique ability to add 50 additional points to your Weight Stat – so long as they are a part of your Party. Cattiva’s Pal Skill Effect can also be stacked, meaning that you can boost your Weight even further by capturing and recruiting multiple Cattiva’s. This extra Weight is somewhat temporary, however, and will only be put into effect while Cattiva is a part of your Party.
Cattiva can be found in the following locations:
- Plateau of Beginnings
- Sea Breeze Archipelago
- Marsh Island
- Eastern Wild Island
- Ice Wind Island
- Forgotten Island
Reached the maximum weight limit and unable to make it back to your base? Rather than ditching the excess items from your inventory, try using the Grapple Gun to continue moving while over-encumbered.
