LEGO Fortnite: How To Invite Friends To Co-Op

Looking to play with friends in LEGO Fortnite? We have everything you need to know about co-op right here!

Whether you’re a Fortnite veteran or a newcomer to the game-turned-platform, there’s something for everyone here. Veteran players can expect some (but not all) of their skins to translate into a LEGO design. Up to eight players can engage in co-op while exploring the new world of LEGO Fortnite. If you want to, you can even give some players a key, which will allow them to share the world with you on a more permanent basis.

Invite A Friend To Your World

To get started, you’ll want to invite a friend to your world. You can invite them to your lobby and go in together, or send an invitation while you’re already in your world. Either way, the recipient of the key must be in the world with you to receive the key. Until you give your friend a key, they will simply be a temporary guest within your world. This means they cannot return unless you invite them once again.

Vaults can be found in specific locations on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 map. Here is your guide to finding each one!

Give Your Friend A Key

Once your friend is in-game with you, giving them a key is incredibly simple. Open up your map, tab over to the Players section, and look for the “Share Key” command at the bottom. Once you share a key, this player will be able to treat this world as their own. They will be able to return to it when you aren’t online. It’s a great way to engage in some multiplayer that persists beyond a hangout. However, if your friend abuses this key, you may take it away from them. So, giving someone a key isn’t a permanent decision.
