While Capcom hasn’t said anything about Monster Hunter Wilds’ next update, it seems Capcom plans to surprise gamers with a release before the month is over.

Unfortunately, Capcom’s announcement for Monster Hunter Wilds’ update 2.0 release was accidentally revealed by Sony before they had the chance to officially announce it.

There’s apparently a planned showcase for Monster Hunter Wilds’ next major update, though detials about it are now known thanks to this leak.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Set For Release On June 30

The official PlayStation website has posted details for Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2, which has since been removed. Thankfully, some fine folks over at Reddit managed to catch the info before Sony caught the mistake.

Players can expect this upcoming content drop to include two new monsters, layererd weapons, new events and more.

Events

All these are planned to be rolled out on June 30 on all platforms. Expect a handful of gameplay improvements, bug fixes and more to be part of the patch.

Lagiacrus, for those unfamiliar with the creature, is a sea wyvern, and first made an appearance in Monster Hunter 3. This beast sits atop the aquatic food chain in the franchise, and usually relies on thunder elemental attacks to finish off hunters. The monster was teased earlier this year as part of the game’s free title update, so its inclusion in the patch shouldn’t come as a surprise to most players.

The other “fan-favorite” monster that’s said to be part of Title Update 2 is said to be Seregios based on datamines. This beast is a flying wyvern, and first made an appearance in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. The creature’s last appearance was in MH Sunbreak, and if the datamine is accurate, that’ll change with MH Wilds.

Bear in mind that this is a premature announcement, and while we’re not expecting things to change, there is a chance it still might. Expect Capcom to announce the showcase sometime this week, which should confirm these details.
