Some of these secret chests are easier than others, and won’t need you venturing far from their starting location. However, sometimes you will need to travel to another location and then return afterward to accomplish your goal — such is the case for the secret chest located in the Pit of Eternal Sands part of the map.

How To Spawn The Hidden Chest

You will need to have progressed far enough in the game to have obtained the Dimension Claw ability. You can acquire this after you have defeated the large snake boss, Azhdaha.

From the Pit of Eternal Sands fast travel location, drop down and then travel right. You will find an enemy you will need to dispatch. After they have been defeated, keep heading right and you will find a stone with yellow cracks in it. Use your Dimensional claw to scoop it up and then travel left. Head up the steps, and aim at the middle of the platform you are on when you use your Dimensional Claw again. This will allow you to throw the stone sphere at the middle of this floor to create a hole you can go in.

Before you go in, go back and get another stone, you’ll need it for later. Once you have a second stone stored in your Dimensional Claw, head into the hole you made and keep traveling left until you find a dead end. Throw the stone straight ahead into this wall to smash it open. Do not go through this entrance yet, you will now need to grab a specific enemy with your Dimensional Claw and bring them with you for the next step.

You will need to travel to a whole different location in order to get the enemy in question, which is a living statue that can be found in the Upper City. Fast travel to the Upper City and then from the Fast Travel location, head left and keep going until you find a living statue that will try to kick you when you approach it. Use your Dimensional Claw to scoop it up and then head back to the Fast Travel location to travel back to the Pit of Eternal Sands and to the entrance you made with the second stone. Once you go through the entrance, keep heading left and then drop down from the various wooden platforms. Keep dropping down through these wooden platforms until you get to the bottom and then go all the way left until you come to a ledge.

There is a trap directly past this ledge. When you drop down, large stone pillars will come barreling from both sides at a rapid speed.

Jump over the ledge and release the living statue enemy, dashing back to the ledge you came from after releasing them. The living statue’s enemies will fall down and trigger the trap. Doing so will result in the hidden chest spawning onto the map. The trap will spring every time something moves in its way, so do not think it has been disarmed. As the stone pillars start to pull back, drop down from the ledge to a wooden platform and drop again before the trap springs again. You will now be next to the hidden chest.

The reward for this chest is a single Soma Tree Petal. On its own, this petal will not help you much, but whenever you collect 4 of these petals, it will result in an increase in the player character’s maximum health. This will be greatly beneficial in facing off against powerful bosses and making your way through several tough enemies in one go. However, you should also consider upgrading the efficiency of your health potions, as well as increasing the number of health potions you are able to carry.
